Leadership Opportunities

“If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.”John Quincy Adams

Emergent Leadership

‘Student Voice’ is a school initiative that comprises student representatives from Reception through to Year 6. These children gather on a regular basis, conducting meetings to plan and organise events and discuss ways we can improve our school community.

At St John Bosco we provide a variety of opportunities for our senior students to explore leadership in their final year of Primary School.

All our Year 6 students are involved in a leadership program called ‘Serve the Lord with Joy’. This program provides opportunities for our senior students to showcase their leadership skills, while they are actively assisting community members.

On a Friday morning our community comes together for morning fitness led by our senior Year 6 Fitness Leaders. The fitness session is much loved by the community as our Fitness Leaders plan and implement a solid session that certainly gets the community active, both students and teachers.

Our Year 6 students also have the opportunity to lead their House Team in their final year of Primary School. This leadership position enables our senior students to explore their leadership skills through a variety of initiatives that contribute to building community and identity and assisting in fostering friendships and activities amongst the students.
